Competitive cheerleading is a fast-paced, dynamic sport that involves an explosive mix of stunts, tumbling, pyramids, basket tosses, jumps, and dance – often recognised as the American “Bring It On” style of cheerleading. It requires athleticism, dedication and a strong teamwork ethic from the male and female athletes that participate. It is also one of the fastest-growing sports in Australia today, with over 50,000 athletes competing at Nationals in 2022.
