MQFencing is a social, affordable and unique club that caters to athletic powerhouses, tactical masterminds and everyone in between!

Macquarie University Fencing is a social and competitive club boasting one of the best beginner courses in the country! We fence all three weapons, and our members range from Australian Novice Champions to Olympians and World Champions!

History

The Macquarie University Fencing Club was initially established as a foil and epee club, but in recent years, the sabre population of the club has grown immensely. Our Learn to Fence course has been running for many years, and brings in new fencers of all ages, with massive success. Our beginners have gone on to win medals at UniSport Nationals and to compete nationally within a year of taking the Learn to Fence course. However, if that sounds daunting, don't worry! We cater to those who are competitive, and also to those who are less competitive and more social. Whatever you want from the sport, we can provide.

About Us

We offer recreational and competitive membership types, we are affiliated with the NSW Fencing Association. We train weekly throughout the year (even during holidays!) at the Recreation Hall in the Macquarie University Sport & Aquatic Centre (MUSAC).
