The Macquarie University Water Polo Club is an exciting sport and social club where current and former students have the opportunity to learn more about water polo and represent Macquarie University.

History

The Macquarie University Water Polo Club was established in 1973. To learn more about our club, please visit our website HERE and visit our Instagram page HERE.

About Us

Our club is an exciting, energetic, encouraging and fun place where we teach people to play the incredible game of water polo. MQUWP is a sporting and social club where future, past and present students along with the general public have the opportunity to learn more about water polo and represent Macquarie University. We welcome members of any ability and hope to continue to grow.

We celebrate our diversity and inclusivity which is reflected in our amazing team spirit and blossoming friendships that our members have gained since joining MQUWP. We host social events, season launches, family and friends BBQ nights and participate in beach competitions to build our community and ensure that all members feel included (check the "Events" section below). Along with our various social activities throughout the season, we support our surrogate members who play National League Water Polo and Australian Water Polo.

We are affiliated to Water Polo NSW and we run two competitive seasons during Summer and Winter. As we are a competitive club, your availability and commitment to game days is essential. We train weekly throughout the year at the Macquarie University Sport & Aquatic Centre, more info HERE.
