Quadball is full contact, mixed gender sport based on the fictional sport 'quidditch'. A fast-paced, strategic game, quadball is also very new, and the community is inclusive of people from all fitness levels, genders, and sporting experience.

Originally created in the USA, quadball first landed in Australia in 2011. The rules have changed A LOT since then, and the sport has slowly been gaining credibility and recognition around the world. In 2025, Australian sent their national quadball team, the Dropbears, to compete in the International Quadball Association's World Cup - and they came home with bronze medals!

Here at Macquarie, we focus on quadball skills and development. Rebuilding after COVID, our team is tiny but mighty! With players varying in experience, age and background, we - the Mac Marauders - are a fun, easy-going team who care about building solid fundamentals without taking ourselves too seriously. We train once a week on Tuesdays (3:30-5:30pm behind Central Courtyard) and attend monthly competitions around the Sydney region. If you're interested in trying something new and meeting some new friends, we would love to hear from you! You can shoot us a message over on Facebook or check out our Instagram
