History

The last badminton club existed in 2008. After a long hiatus, we are re-establishing the club in 2025, bringing together badminton enthusiasts once again. This marks a fresh start for the community, providing a platform for players to train, compete, and enjoy the sport.

About Us

The Macquarie University Badminton Club is a vibrant community for students who share a passion for badminton, whether for fun or competition. Our club is open to players of all skill levels, offering a welcoming environment for both casual and competitive play.

• Recreational Purpose: We provide students with opportunities to enjoy badminton in a relaxed and friendly setting. Whether you're looking to unwind, stay active, or make new friends, our club fosters a space for fitness, enjoyment, and social connections.

• Competitive Purpose: For those aiming to take their game to the next level, we offer pathways to represent Macquarie University in inter-university and regional badminton competitions. Our goal is to enhance the university’s presence in the sports community and support players in reaching their full potential.

• UniSport Nationals: We are actively recruiting people who is interested in UniSport Nationals, please contact us via Instagram or email us.

Becoming a Member

We are currently in a four-week trial period, giving students the opportunity to experience the club before our official launch. During this time, you can join our sessions, meet other players, and get a feel for the club's atmosphere.

After the four-week trial, we will officially establish the club, and membership registration will open. Whether you're a casual player or a competitive athlete, we welcome you to be part of our growing badminton community. By becoming a member, you agree to the Macquarie University Data Collection and Privacy Notice.

Inclusion

Macquarie University Badminton Club recognises the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet and train, the Wallamattagal Clan of the Dharug Nation and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
