History

The Macquarie University AFL Club (MUAFC) was established in 1969 with one men's team known as the "Kookas" during the Green & Gold era of Macquarie University. MUAFC is a volunteer-run, community sporting club with a proud history. Fielding two women’s teams and three men’s teams, MUAFC has enjoyed consistent on-field success throughout its 55 year history. First grade men’s premierships have been won in 1998, 1999, 2000 and in 2009. The club’s women’s program has also been successful winning premierships in 2013 and 2019.
